ripe dark cherries and white pepper - a slight chemical edge but quite a bold nose. on the palette again polished cherries and a slightly chalky style of tannins, but quite a lot of wine for the money.
Agree with Gergely that there's a slight acetone like nose, but ok.
Chateau Grezan cuvee Arnaud 05 Faugeres - £7.50
Slightly earthy meaty nose - some dark fruit - brambles and stewed raspberries, a slight toasted almond like note on the finish. Nice intensity of character, tannins medium but quite fine and elegant.
